Our story
About Me
I’m Catarina B. S. Santos, a psychopedagogist with over 20 years of experience supporting diverse learners across Portugal, France, Canada, and Spain. Born in Lisbon, I began my educational journey with a Master’s in Curative Psychopedagogy (2003), followed by an advanced Master’s in Perceptive Psychopedagogy (2006). My pursuit of deeper knowledge led me to Paris, where I earned a Doctorate in Education Sciences from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (2012), focusing on inclusive and sensitive pedagogical practices.
Professional Experience
I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including schools, corporate environments, mental health institutions, and social organizations. I started at a lifelong learning institute, advancing from assistant trainer to supervisor of students’ final-year projects, and served as an assistant professor in Portugal, supervising dissertations in Perceptive Psychopedagogy.
Currently, I also work as a Learning Support Teacher at a prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Spain, where I help MYP and DP students build confidence, independence, and academic success through individualized strategies. I collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the wider community to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
4Learnings
I founded 4Learnings, a project dedicated to helping individuals “Learning how to better learn.” We equip students and educators with strategies for growth, self-discovery, and lifelong learning.
